Gillian Telling is a writer/editor who lives in New York City. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Front Desk New York, which is an upscale visitor’s guide distributed in-room and at concierge desks in luxury hotels in the city. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, she is also a regular contributor to Maxim magazine where she divulges women’s secrets to over ten million readers monthly.
Prior to Front Desk she worked at Details (where she once wrote about men who masturbate at work) and Rolling Stone (where she once insisted James Blunt be included in the ‘Artists to Watch’ section), and dabbled in various PR jobs at Atlantic Records and an independent firm. She’s also freelanced for Men’s Journal, Best Life, The London Observer, Brides, Neiman Marcus The Book, Metro, Health, Air Tran Go!, The Frisky, Match.com, My Midwest, Golf for Women, (RIP) Radar (RIP) Budget Living (RIP) ATA Sights (RIP) and Skybussing (RIP). She was also a regular guest on the Devore & Diane show on Maxim Sirius Radio, where she discussed her columns with the hosts and horny truck drivers.
In a completely unrelated career move, she also briefly worked at a videogame company and did some voiceover work for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. If you run over any blonde pedestrian it will be her voice crying out, “You jerk!” Please run her over if you play this game. (She did no voiceover work for the hookers, so don’t bother.)
