So last night in bed, Josh turned to me and asked this: “Are you really reading an Archie comic?” The answer was “Yes, I just watched two episodes of Dexter and I’m scared and I need to see what B&V are up to anyway.”
The truth is, I’ve always read Archie comics and I can’t seem to quit them. I have stacks of them in the bathroom and buy them every time I’m in a grocery store that sells them. I am a 33 year old woman who is fairly mature and well-read (does reading Agatha Christie make you well-read?) but sometimes nothing makes me happier than quiet me-time like escaping into the world of Riverdale High. It’s weird, I know.
Anyhoo, I found this online and it made me laugh and reminded me of an Archie panel my best friend in 5th grade cracked up over: Fred and Mary (Archie’s parents, duh!) were dealing with a blackout and Mary goes, “Oh Fred, what should we do?” and Fred said, “Don’t worry Mary, we’ll make out.”
Haha. Make out.
